Daw Win Mya Mya, political prisoner, at the NLD (National League for Democracy) Headquarters in Yangon, 16th January 2012. Daw Win Mya Mya was released on January 13th, 2012 after serving 4.5 years of a 12 year sentence in prison. She had both arms broken during an ambush while traveling as part of Aung San Suu Kyi's convoy in Depsyinn, Sagaging Division, on the 30th May 2003. At the time she was both a Central Committee Member and Mandalay Division Member. After spending some months recovering in hospitals, she was arrested and imprisoned, becoming a political prisoner.
